Why Toronto
Our Toronto location provides strategic access to Canada's most diverse culinary landscape. The city's immigrant communities maintain authentic food traditions from dozens of cultures. Its restaurant scene demonstrates how regional Canadian ingredients can achieve international recognition. And its proximity to other major centers allows efficient travel for our regional research and tour programs.
While headquartered in Toronto, our work extends across all Canadian regions. Team members based in Halifax, Vancouver, Saskatchewan, and Quebec ensure authentic regional expertise and local connections.
Visiting Our Office
We welcome visitors by appointment. Our Wellington Street office houses our research library, test kitchen, and meeting spaces. If you'd like to tour our facilities or meet with team members in person, please contact us to arrange a convenient time.
The office is accessible via public transit (King Station and Osgoode Station both within walking distance) and paid parking is available nearby.
Common Inquiries
Workshop Registration
Our heritage cooking workshops run quarterly with limited enrollment. Contact us for the current schedule and available dates. Early registration is recommended as sessions typically fill quickly.
Custom Tours
While we offer scheduled regional culinary tours, we also create custom tour experiences for private groups. Minimum group size is eight participants. Contact us to discuss potential itineraries and dates.
Consulting Projects
Restaurant consulting engagements begin with an initial assessment call to understand your needs and determine if our services align with your goals. This consultation is complimentary and without obligation.
Research Services
Research project scope and pricing varies based on complexity and timeline. Share your project requirements and we'll provide a detailed proposal outlining deliverables, timeline, and cost.
Media and Press Inquiries
Journalists, filmmakers, and media professionals seeking information about Canadian culinary traditions or requesting interviews with our team members should contact us with details about your project and deadlines. We're generally available for expert commentary on topics related to Canadian food history and regional cuisine.
